Ride Kenya

Iconic Touring Routes

Kenya's terrain is one of the most diverse and spectacular on the continent — perfect for motorcycling. These are some of the routes our touring community loves most.

Rift Valley
Nairobi → Naivasha → Nakuru

Arguably Kenya's most iconic ride. Descend the escarpment into the Great Rift Valley, passing Lake Naivasha and on to Nakuru's flamingo shores. Sweeping tarmac, dramatic elevation changes, and wildlife en route.

~180 km Tarmac Scenic
Coastal Highway
Mombasa → Malindi → Lamu

The coastal route north from Mombasa offers flat fast roads, ocean views, and the richly historic towns of Malindi and Lamu. A multi-day adventure through Swahili culture and Indian Ocean landscapes.

~300 km Tarmac + Ferry Multi-day
Northern Frontier
Nairobi → Nanyuki → Isiolo

Ride north past Mount Kenya's equatorial snow caps, through Nanyuki's highland plains, and onwards into the semi-arid beauty of Isiolo and the Samburu. A raw, adventurous route for experienced tourers.

~320 km Mixed surfaces Adventure
Tea Country
Nairobi → Kericho → Kisumu

Wind through Kenya's lush tea highlands to Kericho before dropping down to Lake Victoria at Kisumu. Rolling green hills, cool air, and warm western Kenyan hospitality make this a favourite community ride.
