Rally Raid / Cross Country

Rally Raid Kenya is a multi-round, Dakar-style national championship open to bikes, quads, buggies, and cars. It is the fastest growing form of motorsport in the country, regularly attracting upwards of 45 competitors at each event.

Based on the world-famous Dakar Series, MSFK's cross-country rally raids run to a two-day format over a variety of terrain with a strong emphasis on navigation — testing not just speed and endurance, but strategy and self-reliance.

About the Discipline

How Rally Raid Works

Rally Raid events cover vast distances across diverse terrain — open plains, rocky hillsides, riverbeds, and forest trails. Unlike circuit-based disciplines, competitors navigate using roadbooks and GPS, making self-navigation a core skill alongside raw speed and mechanical reliability.

Events run over two days with timed special stages and liaison sections. Results are determined by total elapsed time across all stages, with penalties for navigation errors and safety infractions.
