How to Join Us

The Motorcycle Sports Federation of Kenya (MSFK) welcomes riders, clubs, officials, volunteers, and partners who are passionate about motorsport and committed to its growth in Kenya. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to take your racing career to the next level, here’s how to get involved.

Become a Licensed Rider

MSFK-licensed riders can compete in national championships, qualify for Team Kenya, and access insurance and support programs. We recognize multiple disciplines, including Motocross, Enduro, Rally Raid, Circuit Racing, and more.

How to Get Started:

  1. Join an MSFK-Affiliated Club – A club helps with training, licensing support, and access to events. Find one near you here.

  2. Complete the Rider Application Form – Provide a passport-sized photo, national ID/passport, club endorsement, and medical declaration.

  3. Pay the Annual Rider License Fee – Details vary based on discipline and age category.

  4. Receive Your MSFK License – This includes your rider number, national recognition, and insurance cover at MSFK events.

Affiliate Your Club

MSFK provides formal recognition for motorcycle sport clubs across Kenya. Clubs are the grassroots engines of our sport — offering coaching, organizing races, and building community.

Types of Clubs:

  • Affiliated Clubs – Full MSFK members with voting rights, race organization mandates, and technical support.

  • Associated Clubs – Recognized participants in MSFK activities without voting rights (ideal for newer or smaller clubs).

Requirements for Affiliation:

  • Club Constitution

  • List of founding members

  • Proof of registration or intent

  • Endorsement of MSFK Code of Conduct

  • Nomination of Club Contact Person

Volunteer or Intern with MSFK

Motorsport is a team effort, and you don’t need to be a racer to get involved. MSFK welcomes volunteers and interns from diverse backgrounds to support operations, administration, media, and education.

Opportunities Available:

  • Event-day volunteering (registration, logistics)

  • Photography and social media content

  • Track cleanup and safety programs

  • Youth outreach & school activations

  • University internship placements (admin, comms, sport science)

Become a Trained Official

Behind every safe and fair event are the people who make it possible stewards, marshals, timekeepers, scrutineers, and medics. MSFK offers nationally recognized training and certification for motorsport officials.

Training Pathway:

  • Practical assessment at MSFK-sanctioned events

  • Official licensing upon qualification

Roles include:

  • Marshal – Controls safety zones on track

  • Clerk of the Course – Manages event operations

  • Technical Inspector – Checks bikes and gear

  • Race Director / Steward – Oversees rules and penalties

  • Medical Officer – Coordinates emergency care
